The Dallas Morning News says Dunbar "continues to be impressive" at Cowboys training camp. The former undrafted free agent is heading in to his third season with the Cowboys, and has the number two running back spot secured over Cowboys RB Joseph Randle . In two NFL seasons, Dunbar has carried the ball 51 times for 225 yards. He could see a spike in his workload this year, as new offensive coordinator Scott Linehan has a history of favoring two-back systems.
Dunbar is a guy that you should strongly consider drafting if you take Murray. Backing up an injury-prone starter gives him value as a handcuff, but Dunbar may see carries in Linehan's offense regardless of Murray's health. Last year in Detroit, Linehan ran an offense that saw both Lions RB Reggie Bush and Lions RB Joique Bell hold significant fantasy value. In the event of an injury to Murray, Dunbar will probably see the larger share of a split with Randle in the Cowboys running game. Dunbar's being taken as the 58th running back in drafts.
