ESPN Baltimore beat writer Jamison Hensley is saying after seven days of Ravens camp that WR Steve Smith "continues to prove he has the best hands of all the Ravens receivers." Hensley notes that Joe Flacco has built up a solid relationship with the WR, noting "quarterback Joe Flacco has built a trust that Smith will catch anything thrown close to him." This is good news for Smith following his tumultuous release from the Panthers this offseason. He is expected to be the Ravens WR2 opposite WR Torrey Smith.
The Ravens have desperately needed a solid WR2 option after giving away Anquan Boldin to the 49ers. Smith still has some wheels to go with his sure-hands. It's not out of the question he could flirt with WR3 numbers.
