The Bengals activated five players from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Monday, two of whom are notable names in fantasy: wide receiver Marvin Jones and tight end Jermaine Gresham.
Jones had been hampered by a bum ankle since tweaking it while working out with quarterback Andy Dalton prior to camp. Gresham spent his time recovering from offseason sports hernia surgery.
Gresham is fantasy fodder. Tyler Eifert is the more intriguing fantasy tight end on this roster, and he's just a mid-range TE2. But Jones is a different story. After gaining more than 700 yards and scoring 10 times while playing less than half of the snaps last season, Jones could be primed for a much bigger season if he sees more snaps as expected. Jones is locked in as the Bengals' No. 2 WR and is one of my favorite picks at his current average draft position of 126.56. That's in the 11th round of 12-team leagues.
