Bears TE Martellus Bennett suspended from practice

Bears TE Martellus Bennett suspended from practice

According to the Chicago Bears' official Twitter account, Martellus Bennett has been suspended and fined for conduct detrimental to the team after Bennett threw first-round cornerback Kyle Fuller to the ground during Monday's practice. There is currently no word on the length of the suspension. After the incident, Bennett had a few things to say: "I come to training camp for one reason and that's to prepare to win a championship. I play hard and go hard every single day. I'm probably one of the most violent people on the field."

Fantasy Analysis:

This situation shouldn't affect Bennett's regular-season status, and he is still locked-in as the Bears TE1. Last season, he caught 65 balls for a total of 759 yards and five touchdowns. Bennett is seen as the third option in Chicago's passing game behind Brandon Marshall @BMarshall and Alshon Jeffery @AJJeffery1 and should be targeted as a low-end TE1.
