As days continue to tick by, the possible suspension scenario for Josh Gordon is becoming more boom or bust. If a deal has yet to be made the NFL and NFLPA they may not want to reach a settlement, indicating Gordon will either be suspended an entire year or not suspended at all. If Gordon reaches a settlement that only suspended him for 15 games, he could rejoin the team in the 2015 offseason. Otherwise, as it currently stands, he would be suspended up until a timeframe within the preseason schedule of 2015. If Gordon wants to possibly come back and play this season, he would have to decline any sort of settlement and hope for the best. The risk being that he would be suspended for a full-calendar year's length.
Gordon brought electricity to the Browns' offense in 2013, a feat that was not present in the offense for years. The Browns have a resemblance of a solid team for the first time in what feels like forever. Without Gordon, the Browns are a middling team. With Gordon, the Browns are a middling team with playoff potential. No one knows what is going to happen, but from a fantasy perspective, Gordon is worth owning as of now. With an ADP of 132, he is a late-round flyer for the cost of a kicker. I say take the risk.
