Dwayne Bowe was arrested this past November for possession of marijuana. As a result, Bowe will miss the Chiefs' opener against the Tennessee Titans, according to Adam Schefter. Last season Bowe only totaled 673 yards and five touchdowns. Bowe's statistics have been regressing since the 2011 season, the last 1,000 yard season for the receiver.
Bowe is a player who was once a staple of the Chiefs' offense, but has faded rather quickly. Since the arrival of Alex Smith, the Chiefs have failed to air the ball out to their WR1. There are very little signs indicating the run-heavy game of the Chiefs will change this season and Bowe is a player who has shown the potential, but hasn't played to that potential the past two years. I see Bowe's ceiling at a risky WR3 or solid WR4.
