Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune spoke with head coach Marc Trestman about WR Santonio Holmes ' history of bad behavior and if it could affect the Bears' organization.
"What's in the past is in the past," Trestman said. "I think we know what we have here with the men we have in our locker room, and I think I'd just leave it at that. The guys, no matter who has come through our locker room in the last year and a half, our guys have done a tremendous job of reaching out, of welcoming them."
Holmes will be competing for No. 3 WR duties after Marquess Wilson broke his collarbone and is expected to be out 12-14 weeks.
Holmes is a name to watch. He had behavioral issues during his time playing for the New York Jets, but hopefully those have been worked out. Holmes can be considered a WR4/5 in re-draft leagues. He'll be behind Brandon Marshall , Alshon Jeffery , Matt Forte and Martellus Bennett for targets.
