QB Matt Schaub is locked in as Raiders' Week 1 starter

Whatever type of training camp competition was taking place between Raiders quarterbacks Matt Schaub @MSchaub8 and Derek Carr, either real or perceived, is over. NFL.com Ian Rapoport said Monday that Schaub is the Raiders' starter and that the team believes he is ready to return to being the solid NFL starter he was for some time in Houston.
"Make no mistake, Derek Carr is the future of the Oakland Raiders' quarterback situation," Rapoport said. "It's just not going to be the present."

Fantasy Analysis:

Pardon me for not paying close attention to Raiders offensive players during the preseason, but I really haven't watched Schaub at all this month. However, the numbers tell a horrific story. A completion percentage of 55 percent, 5.4 yards per attempt, no touchdowns and one interception through two preseason games.
Carr hasn't been much better against second- and third-team defenses and is coming off of a concussion suffered Saturday night.
No matter who starts at QB for Oakland this season, you will want to stream defenses facing them. I don't want to own any part of this offense, and that includes Maurice Jones-Drew @Jones_Drew32 and Darren McFadden @dmcfadden20.

You're missing the whole point with McFadden... he is the guy you start while other NFL team's roster/depth chart shakes down over the first few weeks of the season. He usually puts up solid numbers until his inaugural injury... By that point all the smoke and pre-season mirrors about back ups and 'sleepers' has become more straight forward and you can replace McFadden with a young emerging back.
Of course this tactic does NOT pay dividends if you draft McFadden in the first few rounds... But, if you can steal him late he is an excellent way to buy some time.
