Giants WR Odell Beckham out for third preseason game

Rookie wideout Odell Beckham has been ruled out for the Giants' third preseason game due to a hamstring injury. Beckham appeared to re-injure the hamstring at practice on Monday, despite his coaching staff's denial of a setback with the hamstring injury that had kept Beckham out of practice for almost a month. He has not played in a preseason game.

Fantasy Analysis:

The third preseason game is particularly important because it's a dress rehearsal for the regular season. Starters see the most playing time of any preseason game, and now we know for sure that Beckham won't be out there. At this point, given that he hasn't been able to participate in camp or stay healthy, including a hamstring issue at OTAs, Beckham should be considered the Giants' WR3 behind WR Victor Cruz @TeamVic and WR Rueben Randle @RuebenRandle. Fantasy owners should not reach to get Beckham in their drafts. Even a late-round flier could be spent on more reliable options.
