Colts RB Trent Richardson 'off to a slow start'

ESPN's Colts beat writer Mike Wells reports Trent Richardson is off to a slow start again this year, and Wells gives this notable opening line in a Wednesday post:
"Look at Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson's preseason rushing statistics and you probably want to climb to the top of the nearest mountain and scream, 'Here we go again!' at the top of your lungs."
It's one thing for a beat writer to have observations, but it's another when Wells quotes the Colts GM Ryan Grigson as saying "Trent, he needs to answer the bell and do his job to the best of his ability, We're all accountable here. He's such a hard runner, we know how tough he is, but he's got to produce just like all these guys do on this final 53."
Richardson dropped off significantly last year after being trading from the Cleveland Browns to the Colts for a first-round pick.

Fantasy Analysis:

It's getting harder and harder for supporters to defend Richardson. He has to pick it up in a big way this year if he wants to remain an NFL starter. His average draft position has continued to drop, being a fifth-round selection in July to now going off the board in the sixth round. He will get all of the carries he can handle if he can produce, with only RB Ahmad Bradshaw @AhmadBradshaw behind him.

Mystery abounds ??? The power and grace this RB enigma, displayed in Cleveland, both running and catching the ball out of the backfield, has all but disappeared since arriving in Indy. Hard to pass on a STARTING RB that late in the draft, but...O.K....6th Rnd, I'm in !
