CBS Sports insider Jason La Canfora has said WR Andre Johnson "showed no signs of rust from his time away from the team this offseason. He was showing up all over the field, making one incredible catch in the back of the end zone, staying in bounds and holding on to the ball in a red zone drill."
The "time away from the team" mention relates to when Johnson held out of OTAs in hopes of a trade and then missed a lot of practice time this month because of a hamstring injury.
This is good news as Johnson is a major part of the Texans' offense and may be force-fed the ball even more if RB Arian Foster can't stay healthy. You can expect Johnson to put up WR2 numbers, if not outright WR1 numbers, by the end of the season.
