On the first Eagles drive of preseason game No. 3, quarterback Nick Foles threw passes low, short and behind his wide receivers. He looked a bit rusty to say the least. The second drive was much better. Foles started 3-of-3 passing and capped it with a 27-yard swing pass to RB LeSean McCoy . On the third drive of the first quarter, Foles returned to his previous form and threw a bad interception to Troy Polamalu . For the night, Foles went 19-of-29 passing for 179 yards with one TD and one interception.
He was far from terrible, but Foles needs to do better in the regular season. Many analysts, including myself, think he will likely throw more INTs this year, and tonight might have been the first glimpse of that regression. Foles is FFToolbox's No. 9 QB. He is still a good bet to finish at that position or higher.
