Browns WR Josh Gordon will not get appeal ruling this week

Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon @JOSH_GORDONXII will not get a ruling from the NFL on his suspension appeal this week, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Many parties involved in the appeal believed that a ruling would be handed down this week. The NFL's initial projection was that a ruling would come in 1-3 weeks. We are now approaching the outside range of that time frame. Expect a decision by the end of next week.

Fantasy Analysis:

If you're drafting this weekend and were hoping for news on Gordon's suspension appeal, you're out of luck. Gordon is an elite WR when he's on the field and until a ruling on his appeal is issued, he should be taken in all drafts with a late-round pick. Even if he plays in only 8 games, Gordon would be a valuable addition to most fantasy rosters. He could easily be the best 12th-round pick of the year.

I love that the NFL has dragged this out. I only need this stud to come back in time for the Playoffs to make it worth the late Rnd pick I plan to use on him. And now that the ruling has been delayed it will be a very Late Rnd, as it should scare most people off until the 10th or later, and lets face it...all those picks are flyers anyhow. C'mon Josh...come fly with me !

Agree with lucassidy2... Had my draft last night and with my very last pick (#180) "Just For Grinns" any suspension less then a full season and I think I WILL BE THE ONE GRINNING. But with WR's (Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Michael Floyd, D.Bowe and recent rookies Kelvin Benjamin & Mike Evans) already on my team, a Less then full season suspension for Josh Gordon would land yet another STUD WR in my already SOLID STABLE of WR's and create some Great Trade Bait.
