Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman caught eight passes for 99 yards in the Patriots' third preseason game, a 30-7 blowout victory versus the Panthers. Edelman, who caught 105 balls in the 2013 season, was especially impressive after the catch, including on a 35-yard catch-and-run. Edelman also returned two punts for 51 yards.
Edelman is clearly the top WR on this squad and will continue to be one of QB Tom Brady's top targets even when TE Rob Gronkowski returns to full strength. Edelman is especially valuable in PPR formats considering his high volume of targets and catches. He's a solid WR2 who can be taken with an early seventh-round pick in most fantasy drafts. That's excellent value right there.
