13. Rickie Fowler [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #35

Fowler has missed three consecutive cuts, but is coming off a third-place performance last week in match play. After missing the cut at the Honda in both 2010 and 2011, he notched a T7 in 2012. Fowler returned to the site last year and was working on a top-five, but dropped to finish T13 after a poor final round.

14. Luke Donald [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #29

Despite being successful in the Honda, Donald hasn’t played the event on its current course since a runner-up performance in 2008 and a T10 in 2011. This start will be just his third stroke play event of the season and first in the states following a first round loss in match play.

15. Charles Howell III [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #56

Howell is coming off his first missed cut in the 10 starts he has made on the Tour’s new wraparound schedule. Over the last four years he has finished inside the top 30 in each Honda appearance, including a T10 in 2011. CH3 was fifth after three rounds of play last year, but dropped to T29 after an 8-over 78 on Sunday. He had a similar issue closing the weekend in 2012.

16. Hideki Matsuyama [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #26

Matsuyama is the lone notable first timer at the Honda. This will be his fourth stroke play event of the year. So far Matsuyama has yet to finish outside of the top 25, highlighted by a T4 at TPC Scottsdale.

17. Billy Horschel [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #50

Horschel put together three top-10s in January until missing the cut at TPC Scottsdale. He got off a nice start in last year’s Honda--11th after two rounds--but posted a 10-over 80 in the third round to plummet down the leaderboard.

18. Michael Thompson [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #99

Thompson won the Honda last year and has been pretty decent lately with T19 finishes at TPC Scottsdale and Pebble Beach.

19. Louis Oosthuizen [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #38

Oosthuizen began the new year by beating a 36-man field in the Volvo Golf Champions on the European Tour. He would miss the cut at Riviera, but reached the quarterfinals in match play. Oosthuizen is currently dealing with back pain, which doesn't bode well given his history at the Honda. He missed last year's cut after withdrawing from the final round of play in 2011 and 2012 with different ailments. UPDATE: Oosthuizen pulled out Wednesday afternoon sighting the aforementioned back pain.

20. Fredrik Jacobson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #91

An injury caused Jacobson to withdraw from Torrey Pines and he’s missed the cut in the two tournaments he’s played since. If healthy, Jacobson has something for this course. He’s played the Honda each of the last six years and has yet to place outside of the top 30.

21. Chris Stroud [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #75

Stroud owns a pair of top-20s and a missed cut so far in 2014. In the fall series, he notched a pair of top-fives and two missed cuts. At the Honda, he has made five consecutive cuts, placing T13 and T9 the last two years.

22. Patrick Reed [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #24

Reed only managed a T58 in last year’s Honda debut. He won earlier this season at the Humana Challenge. In the two stroke play starts since, Reed placed T19 at TPC Scottsdale and T13 at Pebble Beach.

23. Stephen Gallacher [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #39

Gallacher is a 39-year-old Scottish player that’s placed inside the top 30 in all four of his European Tour events this year, highlighted by a victory in Dubai.

24. Thorbjorn Olesen [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #67

Olesen scored a pair of top-fives on the European Tour prior to coming over to the States. He missed the cut at Riviera and was a first round loser in match play.
