Golf Rankings for Zurich Classic of New Orleans
Justin Rose [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #5
Rose struggled at TPC Louisiana from 2009-11, but has finished T10 and T15 at the site over the last two years. He’s coming off a T14 at the Masters while working his way back from a shoulder injury that has cost Rose a few starts this season.
Rickie Fowler [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #10
Fowler has suddenly turned his season around following a solo sixth in the Shell Houston Open and a T5 at the Masters. Prior to that, he had missed four cuts in a span of five stroke play events. Fowler placed T10 at TPC Louisiana in 2012 and opened last year’s event strong, but faded to finish T32.
Graham Delaet [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #63
DeLaet had been a solid performer for much of the year until missing the cut, somewhat understandably, in his Masters debut. DeLaet owns a T4 at TPC Louisiana from 2012 and was just inside the top 25 after two rounds of play last year, but dropped to finish T47.
Over his last six starts, Every recorded his first PGA Tour win while totaling four finishes of 12th or better. After missing the cut in his first two appearances at TPC Louisiana, Every scored a T32 last year.
Ryan Palmer [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #37
Palmer hasn’t missed a cut this year and would likely own three consecutive top-10 finishes if not for a disastrous final round at TPC San Antonio. His track history at TPC Louisiana is somewhat lackluster aside from a T4 in 2012.
Fredrik Jacobson [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #91
After a rocky start to the year (partly due to injury), Jacobson has recorded five consecutive top-20s. He hasn’t played TPC Louisiana since missing the cut back in 2008.
Keegan Bradley [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #31
After a mediocre start to the season, Bradley appeared to have broken out by finishing as the runner-up at Bay Hill. However, he has since finished outside of the top 40 in the Shell Houston Open and missed the cut at Augusta. Bradley has played TPC Louisiana each of the last three years, missing the cut in the last two.
Chris Stroud [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #117
Stroud placed T5 at TPC Louisiana back in 2007 and owns three finishes of 26th or better over the last four years (although he missed last year’s cut). Stroud had finished 31st or better in five straight tournaments until placing T48 last week at Harbour Town.
John Senden [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #53
Senden came out of seemingly nowhere to win at Copperhead in mid-March then finished T52 and T42 until finishing inside the top-10 at Augusta. Senden has played TPC Louisiana each of the last six years with a pair of top-15s and missed the cut for the first time last year.
Russell Knox [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #94
In 10 events this year, Knox has finished 27th or better on seven occasions while missing two cuts. He didn’t play at TPC Louisiana last year, but owned a piece of second place after two rounds in 2012. Knox shot a combined 2-over over the weekend and finished T30.
George McNeill [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #118
McNeill has gone backwards since finishing T6 at TPC Louisiana in 2011: placing T24 in 2012 and T47 last year. Over his last five starts of the year he has yet to finish outside of top 20 with a pair of top-10s and four top-15s.
J.B. Holmes [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #66
Holmes didn’t play TPC Louisiana last year, but placed T13 in 2012. Over his last four starts of the season he has finished inside the top 20 three times.
