Golf Rankings for Wells Fargo Championship
Seung-yul Noh [Yahoo Class C]
Noh, a 22-year-old from South Korea, was last week’s surprise winner at TPC Louisiana. He placed T9 in his Quail Hollow in 2012 but missed last year’s cut.
Jamie Donaldson [Yahoo Class C]
Donaldson is playing Quail Hollow for the first time. He’s coming off a T14 at the Masters and scored a share of second several weeks ago at Doral.
Kevin Na [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #55
Na is coming off a disappointing missed cut at Harbour Town. In six previous starts he scored a pair of top-fives and five finishes inside the top 20. Na missed the cut when he last played Quail Hollow in 2012 but placed solo fifth in 2011 and T14 back in 2010.
Gary Woodland [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #42
Woodland has played Quail Hollow three times since 2009 and would own at least one decent result if not for some ugly final rounds. However, Woodland has finished 26th or better in four straight events and just needs some consistency on this course to offer up a big value.
Bill Haas [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #41
After reemerging at Quail Hollow in 2011 with a solo fourth, Haas has missed the last two cuts at the site. Haas put together three top-20s in four starts prior to withdrawing from Harbour Town with a wrist injury. Between health concerns and erratic performance on this course, Haas is a true wild card this week.
Jason Kokrak [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #120
Kokrak blew a top-10 in last year’s Quail Hollow tournament by shooting an 8-over 80 in the final round. In his last nine starts of the season, Kokrak has recorded five top-20s while missing two cuts.
Charles Howell III [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #65
Howell was fairly mediocre at Quail Hollow for several years until last season’s T10. Over his last five starts of the season he’s scored three top-35s.
Chris Kirk [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #100
Dating back to last season, Kirk made 16 cuts in a row; the fifth-longest active streak on Tour. He had a chance at a top-30 at Quail Hollow last year but struggled in the final round.
Webb Simpson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #67
Simpson has missed two of his last three cuts and has been a nonfactor since the end of January. After missing a pair of cuts at Quail Hollow, Simpson was solid in 2011 and finished solo fourth in 2012 before last year’s T32.
Ben Martin [Yahoo Class C]
Martin hasn't played Quail Hollow since missing the cut in 2011. However, he's suddenly turning his season around. After missing seven cuts in eight tries Martin has finished T3 and T15 the last two weeks.
Andrew Loupe [Yahoo Class B]
This is actually ANDREW SVOBODA. Svoboda missed the cut in his Quail Hollow debut last year but has finished T24, T26 and T2 over his last three starts of the season.
Matt Jones [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #186
In between missing three cuts in his last five tournaments, Jones placed T14 at Bay Hill and won the Shell Houston Open.
