1. Brandt Snedeker [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #20

Snedeker has missed the cut twice over the last three years at Sedgefield, but finished T8 back in 2010 and T5 in 2009. In his last two starts, Snedeker has placed T12 at Firestone and T13 in last week's PGA Championship. This week's field is a cakewalk by comparison so the suddenly consistent Snedeker looks like a top selection.

2. Webb Simpson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #27

In five career starts at Sedgefield, Simpson has finished 11th or better three times, highlighted by a win in 2011. The following year, he was in second place after the second round, but slide over the final two rounds to place T22. Simpson finished solo third at the Greenbrier over a month ago, but missed two of his three cuts since.

3. Bill Haas [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #31

Over the last two years at Sedgefield, Haas has finished T20 and T7, respectively. He's been making cuts all season, but hasn't been a contender. In his last nine starts, Haas has recorded six top-30s with a single top-10.

4. Patrick Reed [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #24

Reed is the defending champ at Sedgefield after placing outside of the top 60 in 2011. He won a pair of tournaments earlier in the season but has missed six cuts in his last dozen starts. Reed scored a top-five at Firestone to begin the month prior to placing T59 last week at the PGA Championship.

5. Hideki Matsuyama [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #26

Matsuyama finished solo 15th in last year's debut at Sedgefield. Since winning the Memorial, he's only finished inside the top 35 once, a T12 at Firestone. The other three starts were majors, so seeing the 22-year-old Matsuyama struggle a bit in those was not a total surprise.

6. Brian Harman [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #128

Since winning the John Deere, Harman has made all three of his cuts, led by a T26 at the Open Championship. He missed the cut at Sedgefield in 2010 and 2012 before last year's T3 performance.

7. Tim Clark [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #121

Since finishing T5 at the John Deere and winning the Canadian Open, Clark went off the rails once again by placing T50 at Firestone and missing last week's cut at the PGA. After finishing as the runner-up at Sedgefield in 2012, Clark captured a respectable T26 last year.

8. Carl Pettersson [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #152

Pettersson won at Sedgefield when this tournament first moved to the site in 2008. He struggled the next two seasons and missed last year's cut, but recorded a pair of T4s in 2011 and 2012. Pettersson had two sharp outings in June before taking a slide over his last three starts.

9. Brooks Koepka [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #76

Koepka is playing Sedgefield for the first time having made five cuts in a row. During that time he recorded a T4 at the U.S. Open, one of three finishes inside the top 20.

10. Ernie Els [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #41

After missing two consecutive cuts, Els has finished T12, T26 and T7 over the last three weeks. At Sedgefield, he's finished T20 and T30 the last two years.

11. Charles Howell III [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #56

Howell had made six consecutive cuts until missing the cut last week at the PGA Championship. CH3 has some good results at Sedgefield in his past, highlighted by a T4 in 2011. Last year, he was disqualified after two rounds sitting five strokes behind the leader due to a missing piece on his driver.

12. Robert Karlsson [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #162

It's easy to move off of Karlsson following last week's T47 at the PGA and last year's ugly finish at Sedgefield, but he was competing for a top-20 after two rounds. Karlsson also had a nice run on the European Tour coming into his T12 at the Open Championship.
