Expert Picks for AT&T National

25. Brendon de Jonge [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #74

We've fallen off the de Jonge bandwagon in terms of leaning his way as a starter. He's come back to earth a bit and has struggled to go as low as he did during his rookie season. This week the field is vulnerable, so if he can rebound at all, it will be at the AT&T.

26. Charles Howell III [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #56

If we list CH3 this low you know he's not likely to compete, but we have no problems at all in getting him on the radar once we are closing the top 30. He has history at this course, and while it lacks consistency, it's not without sign of hope.

27. Brian Gay [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #168

Last year this writer listed Gay as one of the top players to avoid for the week only to watch him play well and get in the mix for a top spot on the final leaderboard. We will lean on last year's finish as reason to suggest he barely squeezes in the picture in 2011.

28. Webb Simpson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #27

Simpson has been on our short list of grab-bag options for the bottom ten almost every week he's played over recent starts, and more often than not, he's proven himself as a golfer of value. He's a kid you could see improving and joining that next class of golfer, and opportunities like this week's AT&T National often serve as those stepping stones.

29. D.J. Trahan [Yahoo Class C]

If you are going to start Trahan, you need to find him listed much higher than 28th on our list. We hit on him in several spots, but we rarely reach his way at Aronimink. The history lacks despite his talents.

30. Ricky Barnes [Yahoo Class C]

Barnes comes off a respectable finish at the Travelers (we had him starting over Furyk, disappointed with both) and we hope he's sitting in stance to carry momentum forward. That said, we aren't ready to lean his way for another crack at the starting four at Aronimink, by any stretch.
