13. Rory Sabbatini [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #162

In three starts this season, Sabbatini has a pair of top-15s and has not finished outside of the top 30. Since 2000, he owns five top-15s at Pebble Beach, but has also missed four cuts. Sabbatini currently ranks fourth in birdie average, fifth in strokes gained – putting and 15th in All-Around Ranking.

14. Martin Laird [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #104

Even though Laird missed the cut in his two pro-am starts at Pebble Beach, he’s worth a look. He opened the season with a runner-up performance in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and finished T14 the following week. Laird is coming off a T61 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open but still ranks 17th in All-Around Ranking.

15. Chris Stroud [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #75

Stroud has made five straight starts in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, missing the cut four times. However, sandwiched in the middle is a T6 from 2009. This season Stroud has missed one cut, but finished T13 and T12, respectively, in the other two. If things remain the same, expect a good result or a missed cut.

16. Jeff Maggert [Yahoo Class C]

In his three starts, Maggert has finished no worse than 26th with a top-five and two top-15s. He’ll turn 48 in two weeks, but the hot start has the veteran second in scoring average and first in All-Around Ranking right now. Maggert missed a lot of cuts over the last several years, so keep riding this streak while it lasts.

17. Ian Poulter [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #22

Following an impressive run of strong finishes overseas to end 2011, Poulter began this season with a T45 in last week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open. While he’s never started at the pro-am, Poulter did compete at Pebble Beach in the 2010 U.S. Open. After finishing the second round tied for 10th, Poulter struggled on the weekend to finish T47.

18. Kevin Na [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #70

Even though Na hasn’t done much at Pebble Beach, he’s coming off a T5 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open following a T30 at the Humana Challenge. Over the last four years in this event, Na has missed two cuts and has not finished better than 43rd. Na was impressive in the Fall Series and has carried some of that momentum into the new year.

19. Aaron Baddeley [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #200

While Baddeley has yet to crack the top-20 in three starts this season, he finished a career-best T6 in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am last year. Baddeley was impressive at the end of 2011 with a T4 and T9 in two starts in his native Australia, but has yet to see that success translate stateside this season.

20. Sean O'Hair [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #156

Putting a dreadful 2011 behind him, O'Hair finished with a share of the runner-up position at the Sony Open in his second start. While he ended last week with a T45, O'Hair went a combined 6-under in the final three rounds after a rocky start. O'Hair finished T10 at the pro-am in 2009 and T12 in the 2010 U.S. Open. However, he's finished T31 and T35 in the last two pro-ams.

21. Vijay Singh [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #155

After a T13 in the Farmers Insurance Open, Singh withdrew last week after the second round was suspended due to darkness and he was going to miss the cut. Singh won this event in 2004 and was the runner-up in 2008. However, he’s missed one cut with T26 and T35 finishes in the last three.

22. Trevor Immelman [Yahoo Class C]

Immelman had a strong finish to the Fall Series and is coming off a T12 in the Waste Management Phoenix Open, his third start of 2012. Last year, in his first Pebble Beach start, Immelman was inside the top-20 at the end of the second round. However, he would fire an 8-over round of 80 on Sunday to finish T69.

23. Bud Cauley [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #89

After three straight top-30s, Cauley finished T50 last week, his worst result is six starts dating back to last year. Cauley ranks 11th in total driving and 22nd in All-Around Ranking. The 21 year old continues to be on the short list of rookies to watch closely this season.

24. Harris English [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #40

English is another impressive rookie. He owns two top-20s in his last three starts, including a T15 last week. English has made four starts this season and currently ranks 10th in driving distance and 20th in All-Around Ranking.
