Ezekiel Elliott NE RB
Ezekiel Elliott: Meeting with Dallas Wednesday
12h agoElliott's agent is meeting with the Cowboys in Dallas on Wednesday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
This isn't the first time the two sides have been connected this offseason, as ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported last month that there was mutual interest in a reunion. The Cowboys lost Tony Pollard to the Titans in free agency and only added end-of-roster types Royce Freeman and Snoop Conner to a depth chart that includes Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn and Malik Davis. Elliott played in all 17 games for the Patriots last season, turning in a 184-642-3 rushing line while adding 51-313-2 as a receiver on 65 targets. Dallas will likely draft a running back this week.

Trey Hendrickson CIN DE
Bengals' Trey Hendrickson: Reportedly seeking trade
14h agoHendrickson has requested that the Bengals trade him, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Per Schefter, Hendrickson -- who is in line to make $15 million this coming season -- is looking for more long-term security than the team has been willing to offer to this point. The 29-year-old is coming of a 2023 campaign in which he recorded 43 tackles and made a major impact as a pass rusher by racking up a career-high 17.5 sacks in 17 regular-season games.
-
Micah Parsons DAL LB
Cowboys' Micah Parsons: Contract option picked up
15h agoThe Cowboys have picked up Parsons' fifth-year contract option, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The move keeps the 2021 first-rounder -- who played the majority of his snaps at defensive end in 2023 -- under contract with Dallas through the 2025 campaign. Per Gehlken, the star defender's salary in his fifth NFL season will be $21.32 million. The 24-year-old is coming off another productive effort with the Cowboys, in which he racked up 64 tackles and a career high 14 sacks in 17 regular-season outings.

James Hurst NO OG
James Hurst: Announces retirement
16h agoHurst announced his retirement from the NFL after 10 seasons on Wednesday, Katherine Teller of ESPN reports.
Hurst has started 51 games between guard and tackle for the Saints since joining the team as a free agent after the 2020 season. He began his career as an UDFA with Baltimore. Hurst's official retirement just one day prior to the start of the 2024 NFL Draft leaves the team with a glaring need at left guard, though the team did reportedly have advanced warning of the decision. With former left tackle/guard Andrus Peat still a free agent, O-line could be a target with pick No. 14 overall.

Penei Sewell DET OT
Lions' Penei Sewell: Inks massive extension
17h agoSewell and the Lions agreed to terms Wednesday on a four-year, $112 million contract extension, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Sewell's deal, which reportedly includes $85 million guaranteed, makes him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL. The 23-year-old right tackle has played at a high level since joining Detroit as the No. 7 overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, but he took a step forward in 2023 while earning first-team All-Pro honors. In addition to Sewell, the Lions extended top wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown to a four-year extension Wednesday, one day in advance of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Rashod Bateman BAL WR
Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Inks extension with Baltimore
18h agoBateman signed a two-year contract extension Wednesday.
Bateman was already under contract through the upcoming season in the final year of his rookie deal, but the Ravens had until May 2 to decide whether to exercise the receiver's $14.44 million team option for 2025. By reaching an extension with Bateman, the Ravens will no longer have to decide on whether to exercise or decline the option, as he's now on the team's books through 2026. The 24-year-old appeared in 16 of the Ravens' 17 regular-season games this past season, catching 32 of 56 targets for 367 yards and one touchdown. Despite Bateman's underwhelming production during his third NFL season, head coach John Harbaugh noted earlier in the offseason that he views the wideout as a candidate to "take a big step" forward in 2024, per Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site. The Ravens' pass-catching corps should look mostly similar in 2024 as it did in 2023, as No. 1 wideout Zay Flowers is entering his second season and standout tight end Mark Andrews is back in the fold, though Odell Beckham is currently a free agent and may not be brought back.

Elias Diaz COL C
Rockies' Elias Diaz: Slugs second homer
5h agoDiaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Padres on Wednesday.
Diaz accounted for half of the Rockies' runs in the contest with his solo shot to center field in the eighth inning. The blast snapped a 19-game homerless drought for the backstop, who belted 14 long balls last season. Despite the modest power output thus far, Diaz has had a nice start to the campaign with a .312/.357/.429 slash line and 11 RBI.
-
Ty Blach COL RP
Rockies' Ty Blach: Tosses five innings in loss
5h agoBlach (0-1) took the loss against San Diego on Wednesday, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks without striking out any batters over five innings.
Blach tossed an inning in relief in his season debut debut Monday, so it was a bit of a surprise to see him go five frames and throw 76 pitches two days later. The left-hander looked like he could be headed for an early exit after giving up four first-inning runs, but to his credit, he finished off his outing with four straight scoreless frames. It's unclear how Blach will be used by the Rockies moving forward -- last season, 13 of his 20 appearances for the team came in a starting role, while he made just one start across 24 outings in 2022.
-
Robert Suarez SD RP
Padres' Robert Suarez: Picks up save No. 9
5h agoSuarez earned a save against the Rockies on Wednesday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.
Suarez needed just seven pitches (five of which were strikes) to set the Rockies down in order and preserve a three-run San Diego victory. The right-hander extended his streak of scoreless outings to nine and lowered his sterling ERA to 0.77. Suarez has been one of the league's best closers so far this season with nine saves (tied for first in MLB).
-
Matt Waldron SD SP
Padres' Matt Waldron: Bounces back with quality start
5h agoWaldron (1-2) earned the win against Colorado on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five batters over six innings.
Waldron gave up a season-high five runs against Toronto in his last start, but he bounced back nicely Wednesday to earn his first win of the season. The knuckleballer didn't seem to have any trouble with his primary pitch in the Colorado altitude, as the Rockies managed a modest four hits against him. Waldron's quality start was also his first of the campaign, and he now holds a respectable 3.96 ERA through 25 innings.
-
Dylan Moore SEA LF
Mariners' Dylan Moore: Nabs two thefts in loss
5h agoMoore went 2-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in Wednesday's loss to the Rangers.
Seattle managed only one run in the contest, but that wasn't due to a lack of production on Moore's part. The utility man collected two of the team's eight hits and put himself in scoring position twice with a pair of steals. Moore is up to five thefts on the campaign, but he's still slashing a meager .214/.358/.357.
-
Adolis Garcia TEX RF
Rangers' Adolis Garcia: Swats seventh homer
5h agoGarcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run against Seattle in Wednesday's 5-1 victory.
Garcia put Texas on the board with a 416-foot solo shot in the fourth inning. It was his third long ball over his past six contests, and he is tied for fourth in the majors with seven homers on the season. Garcia has added 23 RBI, 18 runs, four steals and a .312/.359/.613 slash line.

Larry Nance Jr. NO PF
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Returns from locker room
8h agoNance (leg) has rejoined the Pelicans bench after a brief trip to the locker room during Wednesday's Game 2 against Oklahoma City, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
Nance went back to the locker room late in the third quarter but returned to the Pelicans bench to open up the fourth quarter. He should be considered good to go for the final period.
-
Larry Nance Jr. NO PF
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Heads to locker room
8h agoNance went back to the locker room during Wednesday's Game 2 against the Thunder with what seemed to be a right leg issue, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Nance exited the contest late in the third quarter and went back to the Pelicans' locker room. While he's absent, Jonas Valanciunas could see more of the center work while Naji Marshall and Dyson Daniels could slide into larger roles. Nance should be considered questionable to return.
-
Jaylen Brown BOS SF
Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Surpasses 30 points in Game 2 loss
10h agoBrown finished with 33 points (13-23 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 37 minutes in Wednesday's 111-101 loss to Miami in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first round.
Brown led all players in Wednesday's contest in scoring while connecting on a team-high mark from three and hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total in a well-rounded performance in a losing effort. Brown bounced back well after posting a modest 17 points in Sunday's Game 1 win.
-
Jayson Tatum BOS PF
Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Nears 30 points in balanced game
10h agoTatum notched 28 points (10-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block over 41 minutes in Wednesday's 111-101 loss to Miami in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first round.
Tatum led all players in Wednesday's contest in minutes played while pacing the Celtics in shots made at the free-throw line and ending two points shy of the 30-point mark in a losing effort. Tatum, who also hauled in a team-high-tying rebound total, has impressed so far in the series against Miami, recording at least 20 points and eight boards in both postseason contests.
-
Derrick White BOS SG
Celtics' Derrick White: Boosts offense in loss
10h agoWhite tallied 13 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four assists, one rebound, one block and one steal over 36 minutes in Wednesday's 111-101 loss to Miami in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first round.
White provided a boost on the offensive end of the court for Boston in a losing effort, handing out a team-high-tying quartet of assists to go along with a pair of threes and concluding as one of three Celtics in double figures in scoring. White has pitched in nicely behind Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum in the first round, recording at least 13 points and four rebounds in both outings against Miami.
-
Tyler Herro MIA PG
Heat's Tyler Herro: Leads offensively in double-double
10h agoHerro posted 24 points (7-13 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 14 assists, five rebounds and one steal over 38 minutes in Wednesday's 111-101 win over Boston in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first round.
Herro stepped up big for Miami in a bounce-back win in Game 2, leading all players in the contest in threes made and assists while leading all Heat players in scoring in an impressive outing. Herro set a season high in assists for any Miami player this year, and he tied the second-most dimes by a Heat player in a playoff game in team history. Miami will need Herro to continue to step up offensively, especially with Jimmy Butler (knee) inactive.
-
Sam Carrick EDM C
Oilers' Sam Carrick: Adds helper in overtime loss
5h agoCarrick recorded an assist and five hits in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.
Carrick set up the first of Dylan Holloway's two goals in the game. The 32-year-old Carrick remains in a fourth-line role, though he could be replaced by Sam Gagner or Derek Ryan if the Oilers opt to mix things up. Carrick had 16 points, 92 shots on net, 167 hits and 102 PIM over 77 regular-season appearances between the Oilers and the Ducks.
-
Warren Foegele EDM LW
Oilers' Warren Foegele: Records helper
5h agoFoegele notched an assist, two shots on goal, four hits and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.
Foegele has a goal and an assist through the first two games of the playoffs. He helped out on a Brett Kulak tally in the first period of this contest. Foegele has added seven shots on net, six hits and a minus-2 rating. The 28-year-old winger will have upside in DFS as long as he remains alongside Leon Draisaitl on the second line.
-
Connor McDavid EDM C
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Picks up power-play assist
5h agoMcDavid recorded a power-play assist, three hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.
McDavid didn't have much of an encore after a five-assist performance in Game 1. He was limited to a secondary helper on Zach Hyman's tally midway through the second period, as the Kings' defense did a better job of limiting his chances. The 27-year-old has four shots on net and six hits over two playoff contests, and he should continue to put pressure on the Kings even if it only leads to chances for his teammates.
-
Mattias Janmark EDM C
Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Contributes pair of assists
5h agoJanmark logged two assists, five hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.
Janmark helped out on both of Dylan Holloway's tallies in the game. Playing in a fourth-line role, Janmark shouldn't be expected to put up much offense in the postseason. He had just 12 points with 67 shots on net, 54 hits and 46 PIM over 71 regular-season appearances in a similar assignment.
-
Leon Draisaitl EDM C
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Two more points in loss
5h agoDraisaitl logged two assists (one on the power play), eight shots on net and two hits in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.
Draisaitl set up goals by Brett Kulak and Zach Hyman in the contest. Three of Draisaitl's four points over two playoff games have come on the power play. He's added 11 shots on net, three blocked shots and a minus-1 rating. Draisaitl continues to center the second line, but the 28-year-old could move to play alongside Connor McDavid if the Kings are able to win Friday's Game 3, as the Oilers often put their best players together when playing from behind.
-
Brett Kulak EDM D
Oilers' Brett Kulak: Pots goal in loss
5h agoKulak scored a goal and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.
Kulak got the Oilers on the board in the first period after a slow start. The 30-year-old defenseman hadn't scored since March 2, earning just six assists over 25 contests between tallies. Kulak's spot in the lineup appears safe, but he's limited to a third-pairing role after posting 16 points, 94 shots on net, 88 blocked shots and 77 hits over 82 regular-season games.
