1. Bill Haas [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #31

Haas is the defending champion at Riviera and is coming off a pair of top-10s in his last two starts of the season. He recently finished T9 at Torrey Pines and T6 at Scottsdale. After winning this event last year, besting Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley in a playoff, Haas didn't record another top-20 until late July.

2. Phil Mickelson [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #8

Since 2007, Mickelson has made six consecutive starts at Riviera. In addition to winning in 2008 and 09, Lefty owns a pair of runner-up performances, including last year. After cruising to victory a few weeks ago at Scottsdale, Mickelson finished a disappointing T60 last week at Pebble, a course he typically excels on.

3. Sergio Garcia [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #7

After taking a few years off from playing Riviera, Garcia returned to the site last year with a T4 finish. Sergio is making his first start on Tour of 2013, but has competed twice this year on the European Tour. After finishing with a share of second in the Qatar Masters, Garcia scored a T17 in last week’s Dubai Desert Classic.

4. Jimmy Walker [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #19

Not only has Walker finished inside the top five two of the last three weeks, he’s finished T4 each of the last two years at Riviera. Walker currently ranks sixth in scoring average and fifth in All-Around Ranking.

5. Aaron Baddeley [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #200

After winning this event in 2011, Baddeley finished T11 at Riviera last year. He's made all four of his cuts this season, highlighted by a T6 at Torrey Pines and a T12 last week at Pebble.

6. Ryan Moore [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #37

After struggling in the two Hawaiian tournaments, Moore returned to the mainland to finish solo fourth at Scottsdale. He finished T4 at Riviera in 2011 and lost out on a potential top-five last year during a poor final round.

7. Luke Donald [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #29

From 2008-10, Donald finished sixth or better each time out at Riviera. However, he's struggled the last two years at the site. This week, Donald is making his first start of 2013 anywhere. Assuming there's no rust, the 2011 PGA Tour Player of the Year is a strong play.

8. Dustin Johnson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #13

Over the last four years, Johnson has collected two top-fives and three top-10s at Riviera. DJ started the year with a victory in the Tournament of Champions, but hasn't finished better than 50th in his last three starts. The track record at Riviera is strong, just like it was last week at Pebble where he missed the cut.

9. Keegan Bradley [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #18

Bradley has made three of his four cuts this season and is coming off a T24 at Scottsdale. He missed the cut after his Riviera debut in 2011, but finished T2 in last year's playoff.

10. Adam Scott [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #2

Scott is another big name player suiting up for the first time in 2013. Since winning at Riviera in 2005, Scott has a scattered additional five starts, most recently a T17 last year.

11. Bubba Watson [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #4

Watson is seeking his first top-10 at Riviera after registering three top-20s in six career starts, including one WD in the first round. Bubba is suiting up for the third time this season after a T4 in the Tournament of Champions and a solo 15th Scottsdale.

12. Hunter Mahan [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #34

Mahan has finished T15, T16 and T16 over the last three weeks. He’s made seven starts at Riviera, finishing T24 last year.
