Comments: NASCAR Picks for Talladega

The second half of the postseason kicks off this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, and there isn't a bigger wildcard race left in the Chase. Restrictor-plate racing has a way of creating multi-car wrecks, and at the near 200 mph speeds seen at Talladega, very few cars come away from a wreck without heavy damage. For the drivers at the top of the standings, Sunday's race is the biggest hurdle standing between them and a possible title. For the drivers down in the standings, the race is their best chance to get back in the mix.

Strategy will play a crucial role in Sunday's race. It will be interesting to see which drivers try to hang back in the early going to avoid trouble and which drivers try to stay at the front of the field. More importantly, it will be interesting to see if the drivers that do decide to hang back are able to make it to the front before the laps run out. Of course one big wreck could change everything, and fantasy owners should brace themselves for possible disappointment.
