Comments: NASCAR Picks for Bristol

The early portion of the Cup Series schedule certainly keeps fantasy owners on their toes. Three races into the 2012 season, and drivers and fantasy owners have already had to deal with a superspeedway, a flat track and a 1.5-mile oval. Another track type can be added to the list this weekend when the series visits Bristol Motor Speedway. The half-mile short track has seen the layout change in recent years, but the bullring still produces tight racing, short tempers and some exciting finishes.

For fantasy owners, a trip to a short track means that rosters need to be retooled. While some of the usual suspects excel at short track racing, a few new names climb to the top of the list, as well. Owners can't be afraid to make some radical changes, even if it means going away from the typical big names. Bristol really doesn't have another track that compares to it, which can result in some rather unique lineups for fantasy teams.
