Comments: NASCAR Picks for Martinsville

Normally, fantasy owners can wait until about June before jumping on the Tony Stewart bandwagon. The three-time champ has been a notoriously slow starter throughout his career, but after picking up his second win of 2012 just five races into the season, he is quickly shattering that image. Dating back to last year, "Smoke" has now won seven times in the last 15 races, and a strong argument can be made that he is the top driver in the sport and in fantasy circles.

This weekend, the series head to Martinsville Speedway, and for the record, Stewart was in Victory Lane there last fall. The flat, paperclip-shaped track is the smallest on the schedule, but it does provide an opportunity for fantasy owners to have a big day. Thanks to the track's unique shape and layout, a select group of drivers have absolutely dominated the half-mile oval in recent years.
