Comments: NASCAR Picks for Richmond

After back-to-back trips to 1.5-mile tracks, the Cup Series will get back to its roots this weekend with some short track racing at Richmond International Raceway. The 0.75-mile oval has been called the action track, combining high speeds seen at larger ovals with side-by-side racing seen at other short tracks. Not surprisingly, Richmond has become one of the most popular tracks on the schedule for both drivers and fans.

For fantasy owners, the trip to RIR means a little roster retooling is probably in order. There is a big difference between the setups required to run well at 1.5-mile tracks like Texas and Kansas and a track like Richmond. The racing is rougher and the corners are much tighter, and owners need to adjust their lineups accordingly.
