2013 NFL Mock Draft

Round 2 (part 1) of 2

48. (2.17) IND: Cody Whitehair, OG, Kansas State
Some scouts may feel he isn't the best blocking guard, but he wants it more than his competition. Plays nasty and aggressive. Second round talent with first round heart.
49. (2.18) BUF: Le'Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech
Since Tyrod Taylor is a bit undersized, it is imperative that the Bills protect him. Clark is a reach here. It's also possible the Bills have left themselves open to trade up for a QB after not giving Taylor that big-time QB contract.
50. (2.19) ATL: Joshua Garnett, OG, Stanford
At his best when run blocking. Plays tough and locks down his assignment. Showed big improvements year to year on tape.
51. (2.20) NYJ: Kamalei Correa, OLB, Boise State*
Correa probably won't stay on the board this long. Great all-around game. Can really get after it on the edge and has a nose for making plays in the backfield.
52. (2.21) HOU: Austin Johnson, DT, Penn State*
Reminds me of Pittsburgh's Cameron Heyward. He could stand to lose 5 or 10 pounds. Active when engaged. Just seems to flow towards the ball on every play, maintaining disruption throughout. Might not make it out of the top 40.
53. (2.22) WAS: Artie Burns, CB, Miami*
Love his scrappy play style. Uses his hands well to throw WRs off their game. Needs to clean that up a bit too but shows he's not afraid to get after players in coverage. Not a great tackler, sufficient in that capacity.
54. (2.23) MIN: Keanu Neal, S, Florida*
Perfect fit for the Vikings. Neal is a downhill, in the box safety with enough speed and agility to be groomed against the pass.
55. (2.24) CIN: Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame*
Probably way too low, but there are some major holes in Fuller's game. Undeniable explosion and playmaking ability when in space, but his hands are a big problem.
56. (2.25) SEA: Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame*
If you can wait a year, Smith is worth the wait. If he was healthy now, he'd be a top 10 pick. Just depends which team pulls the trigger.
57. (2.26) GB: Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA*
Does just about everything well. Stout against the run and very difficult for one man to handle at the point of attack. Came into his own last year.
58. (2.27) PIT: Su'a Cravens, S, USC*
Another in the box safety who excels in run support. Good speed for a safety and could even play something like a hybrid LB role at times.
59. (2.28) KC: Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh*
Based on production, Boyd is one of the more unheralded prospects. Really got the job done at Pitt despite teams knowing he was getting the ball practically every pass.
60. (2.29) NE: Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor*
Solid prospect that can play nickel to start his career. May never be fast enough to be more than just a good player.
61. (2.30) NE: Kentrell Brothers, ILB, Missouri
Production was off the charts. Average athleticism, but the guy just knows the game. Great instincts. Reminds me of a thicker Luke Kuechly, but not as good in coverage.
62. (2.31) CAR: Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State
Would fit in perfectly at Carolina. Electric with the ball in his hands. Makes guys miss, takes chances. Ball security could be an issue early in his career. Raw talent at wideout.
63. (2.32) DEN: Sheldon Day, DT, Notre Dame
Relentless style of play. A touch undersized yet still manages to mix it up every play. Disruptive with active hands. Love his sudden and deliberate quickness. Another DT who might not slide this far.
