2007 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC

Jarrett was the second coming of Mike Williams at USC, but let's hope he's not the second coming of Williams at the next level. Whether he is or isn't, the comparisons certainly do no favors for Jarrett in terms of his NFL Draft positioning. What does do wonders for his next-level scouting report is his size. Standing at 6-5 and 210 pounds, Jarrett should be able to abuse smaller cornerbacks at the next level. Scouts also remember your last performance, and that's a good thing for Jarrett. Against a stellar Michigan defense, he racked up a career-high 203 yards and scored twice en route to being named the MVP of the Rose Bowl. With his incredible hands, Jarrett can catch anything thrown in his vicinity. He also runs great routes, although his lack of breakaway speed is what could cause NFL teams to shy away from him. Depending on how the combine goes, Jarrett's name should be taken off the board sometime between picks 10 and 20.
