2008 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky

Woodson not only showed his breakout junior campaign wasn't a fluke, but he improved on his numbers with a stellar senior season. He completed 327-of-518 passes for 3,709 yards and 40 touchdowns. He was intercepted 11 times, but broke Trent Dilfer's all-time record of consecutive pass attempts without an interception with 325. He was considered a Heisman Trophy contender for much of the season and was a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which honors the nation's top senior quarterback. Woodson's numbers didn't fall off once play began in the Southeastern Conference, which says a lot about his ability, with the league filled with outstanding defensive backs. He has a strong arm and while his accuracy has been questioned at times, he doesn't make bad mistakes, as evidenced by his TD-to-interception ratio. He took too many sacks that could have been avoided as a junior, but greatly improved in that area his senior season. He doesn't look to run, but he is elusive in the pocket and capable of getting off throws under pressure. The most commonly mentioned concern is his awkward throwing motion, which is often compared to Vince Young's coming out of college. But that isn't likely to scare teams off. He'll be 24 years old when the season starts, which may give him a maturity edge. It's unlikely he'll fall out of the top-15 draft picks.
