2014 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Loucheiz Purifoy, DB , Florida

Purifoy really excelled in his senior season with the Gators. Serious character red flags have dramatically hurt his stock.

Florida's defense was chock full of excellent defenders, Purifoy included. He possesses an ideal tall frame and good length. A bit thin though and should continue to add bulk and upper body strength.

Elite coverage skills. Fast, choppy feet. Elite balance with almost no missteps. Surprising closing burst and can really explode on the play. Very smooth movements in his lower half. Opens his hips quickly and efficiently. Runs well with receivers and has more than enough speed to stay with them. Very good recovery speed. Could afford to be a little more physical in press-man. Above average instincts. Not quite as good in off coverage. Great reaction times.

Above average ball skills. Played some offense for the Gators. Can turn an interception into a return touchdown. Very willing in run support. Active tackler and breaks down well. Will get eaten up on the edge by a bigger, strong receiver blocking.

Purifoy, on talent, projects as a second rounder. Unfortunately, his off the field concerns could push him out of the draft entirely.
