Bell is a big strong runner; he lacks elite top end speed, but has deceptive speed. Bell has been injured often during his career at UCLA. When he has been healthy, he has proven to be very productive in the running game and as a receiver out of the backfield. Bell is an aggressive down-hill runner. He is a tough runner and does a good job of keeping his pad level low. Bell is a slippery runner and can break away from most arm tackle attempts. Bell runs with good body lean and does a good job of falling forward at the end of most runs to pick up ever so important extra yardage to finish runs. Bell has very good lateral quickness and does a good job of evading tacklers who make it through the offensive line. Bell would likely be more productive behind a more consistent offensive line and with better quarterback play. If Bell had one more year under new Bruins head coach Rick Neuheisel and offensive coordinator Norm Chow, he would likely see his draft status improve greatly. Bell is likely a third or fourth round selection.
