2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama

Cody considered leaving Alabama after an impressive junior season in 2008, but he probably made a wise move in returning to school. After all, his junior year was his first in Tuscaloosa, as he spent 2007 at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he recorded 31 tackles and 3.5 sacks to help his team post an 11-0 regular season record. Cody also missed time in 2008 with a sprained MCL, but he gained valuable experience as a senior. Despite seeing a ton of double-teams from offensive guards, he still recorded six sacks while starting all 14 of Alabama's games en route to the National Title. Cody's signature play was a blocked field goal as time expired against Tennessee to preserve the Crimson Tide's undefeated record. "Mount" Cody, stands at 6'5' although he registered at 370 pounds at the Senior Bowl, he was down to 354 by the NFL combine (pro scouts generally want to see him at 350, so he is almost there). While his 40-yard dash time is nothing to write home about (around 5.6 on an average day), he is actually quite agile and his lateral movement makes him a beast against the run. Cody will be an ideal fit at nose tackle for an NFL team that runs a 3-4 defense. Cody's stock had been slipping a bit, but the weight loss is a positive development and he should be back on the rise in the near future. Cody was previously considered a Top 5 pick before recent projections said he could fall all the way to the second round. Now, however, Cody should be a sure thing first-round and even a Top 10 selection is not completely out of the question.

Prediction: 1st Round

Re: Horcasitas

NO CHANCE Washington takes him to anchor a 3-4 switch.. they didn't spend all that money on Haynesworth for nothing.

Prediction: 2nd Round

He is too much of a risk to go in the first round, not to mention that there are other DT/NT that are better. I can see Kansas City or Washington getting him in the second round, they both need Nose Tackles for their 3-4 Defenses(Redskins are switching)

Prediction: 1st Round

Going to Minnesota to be the next battery mate for Kevin Williams. Pat Williams is 37

Prediction: 1st Round

Someone might take a chance on him in the 1st, but I see him going in the second just based on the fact that he could eat himself out of the league real fast.

He is a late round pick that I see being taken by the Vikings to replace their run stuffer Pat Williams, who is getting up in years. Is a an elite run stuffer who can take up multiple blockers with his size alone. Incredible strength. Conditioning and pass rush ability are major concerns, but those are not what teams see when they look at him. The only true 3-4 nose tackle worth a high pick
