2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Adam Ulatoski, OT, Texas

By the end of his redshirt freshman season, Adam Ulatoski was the starting right tackle for Texas. His efforts earned him a multitude of all-freshman accolades and set up what was to become a great career with the Longhorns. Despite a season full of injuries, by the conclusion of his sophomore campaign, Ulatoski was moved to the left tackle position to protect Colt McCoy's blindside. Ever since then, he has been a staple of the Longhorns' offensive line. Ulatoski put any injury issues behind him in 2008 and 2009, started all 19 games thus far in those two campaigns. Ulatoski's size is his great asset. At 6-6, the 310 pound Southlake, Texas native still has room to put on more weight and he has slowly been doing that during his five years in Austin. Few linemen in this class can match Ulatoski's experience and intelligence on the field. However, he is not the strongest lineman in this class either and that may keep him out of the first, or maybe even the second, round. Ulatoski still has time to prove that his footwork is fine and that he can beat NFL caliber players at the point of attack before the draft; if he does, he will be a top five offensive linemen in this class. 2/15 Update: Ulatoski is running out of time to show the NFL that he can play at the next level. He is moving down most draft boards and needs to have some good individual workouts to work his way from a mid-round selection to a second or third rounder. His ability to move from tackle to guard could make him a more intriguing option to some teams, but even then his experience and intelligence will only move him up so much.
