Jordan Lake Scouting Report
|Height & Weight:||6'1 - 210 lbs.|
2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Jordan Lake, FS, Baylor
Jordan Lake has largely gone unnoticed due to the fact that he plays at Baylor, but he could turn into one of the best free safeties at the next level. At 6-1 and 215 pounds, Lake has plenty of size and he is known for his big hitting ability. With all of his experience, some NFL team is going to get a steal if Lake falls to the third or fourth round like many expect. Even as a redshirt freshman in 2006, Lake was making an impact. He was not starting, but in the five games he played in before breaking his collar bone, he forced two fumbles and picked off one pass. In 2007 he earned a multitude of All-Big 12 accolades after leading the Bears with an impressive 120 tackles. He also forced a couple more fumbles and picked off two passes as a sophomore. By 2008 Lake was becoming a leader in the secondary and his hard hitting ways continued as he forced two more fumbles. Lake also added 97 tackles and three interceptions. Lake did not grab any picks during his senior season, but he did tally 92 tackles and continued to make a name for himself in the Big 12 by forcing three more fumbles; the NFL scouts will take notice during Senior Week if they have not already.
