Obi Ezeh, ILB, Michigan

Obi Ezeh is one of the anchors of a talented Michigan team. After deciding to return for his senior season, Ezeh instantly becomes one of the more promising prospects at the inside linebacker position. His strengths come in his ability to stop the run, quickly diagnose plays and take good pursuit angles. Where Ezeh gets in trouble is sometimes taking too flat an angle on outside runs as he lacks elite speed. He's more quick than fast and while that works between the tackles, he struggles with pass coverage.

Lacks natural hip fluidity and will struggle in open space. A great wrap up tackler who hits with ferocity. Plays with fast instincts. Ezeh has adequate size for the position, but needs to run with more arm violence (churning of the arms) in order to generate more speed. Understands both the 3-4 and 4-3 principles of the inside linebacker position as he has played in both schemes while at Michigan. Very consistent performer while at Michigan and was a Butkus Award semifinalist in 2009.

He will end up as a situational player if he is successful making a 53-man roster.

Ezeh projects as an undrafted free agent after the 2011 NFL Draft.
