Ekom Udofia Scouting Report

2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Ekom Udofia, DT, Stanford
Ekom Udofia has been lost among some of the more dominating defensive tackles in this class. However, the Stanford product has been a productive player for the Cardinals for the last four years. After redshirting in 2005, Udofia stepped into a starting role as a freshman. He tallied 43 tackles on the year and saved his best performances for the big games. It was in the "Big Game" when he tallied his first career sack and tackle for loss. Udofia was slowed during the 2007 and 2008 campaigns despite starting 14 games over the two year span. However, he was not at full strength for the most part and his numbers indicated that. Udofia was back in business during his senior campaign and ended up with 36 tackles. Udofia ended his collegiate career starting 39 games and is a very experienced player. Some of those starts were at defensive tackle and some were at nose tackle, but at the next level Udofia fits into the 4-3 scheme. Udofia remains under the radar after playing in the East-West Shrine Game. He did not do anything during the week to separate himself from a plethora of talented defensive tackles. Not being invited to the NFL Combine, Udofia will need to have a solid pro day to sneak into the late rounds of the draft.
