2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Ryan Donahue, P, Iowa

Donahue is a four-year starter for the University of Iowa. He had a career high in punting average (44.6) this season with his longest punt being 73 yards. He has accumulated over 10,000+ yards punting in his career. Donahue became the first Iowa Hawkeye to be named a Ray Guy award finalist, the award given to the nation's best punter of that season. Donahue ultimately finished second for the award.

His 82-yard punt as a freshman is ranked second in school history. Donahue is widely considered one of the top punter prospects for the 2011 NFL Draft. With his wealth of experience at the position, teams have a lot of game tape to see the subtleties of his improvement over the last four years. Many punters only kick for one or two years at the collegiate level.

Donahue has good hang-time and consistently is able to pin teams inside-the-20. Punters are not often taken in drafts but considering the caliber of his talents, he has a good chance of being selected late in the draft.

ESPN ranks Donahue as the nation's top punter prospect.

The University of Iowa's Ryan Donahue projects as a seventh round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
