Greg Salas Scouting Report
|Height & Weight:||6'2 - 206 lbs.|
2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Greg Salas, WR, Hawaii
However, his production was off the charts as an upperclassman. As a junior, Salas caught 106 passes for 1,590 yards and eight touchdowns. It would be tough to improve on those numbers, but Salas did just that, finishing off his collegiate career with an amazing season where he caught 119 passes for 1,889 yards and 14 scores.
Salas is usually a sure handed receiver, but that was not the case during practice leading up to the Senior Bowl. He was often trying to run before he caught the ball in order to prove that he has the speed and elusiveness to make NFL defenders miss just like he so often did in college. Yet, Salas is not really 6-2 and he does not have blazing speed either. He can certainly make plays, but whether or not he can do it at the next level is a huge concern and so far he has not proven that he can. Assuming things stay the same, Salas will likely fall to the fourth or fifth round.
