2012 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

LaVon Brazill, WR, Ohio

An injury has set LaVon Brazill back a ways during his senior season. After playing in just three games, the 5-11 receiver eventually opted to undergo season ending surgery. That means it is likely that Brazill will receive a medical hardship and return to Ohio for another season. However, he is a talented slot receiver and a dynamic punt returner.

After seeing limited playing time in 2007, Brazill made a big splash in 2008. He ranked second on the Bobcats with 34 receptions for 384 yards and started showing his brilliance as a punt returner. He only found the end zone twice -- once on a pass and once on a punt return -- but he proved to be a threat to score any time he touched the ball. In 2009 Brazill did a lot more scoring. He caught 53 passes for 702 yards and six touchdowns. He also reached the end zone three times on his 26 punt returns. Brazill even threw for a touchdown.

Brazill failed to make an impact while struggling through injuries early in his senior season. He has a couple of good seasons under his belt, but Brazill will pretty much be a punt returner if he gets his shot at the NFL. He should return to Ohio if he can and attempt to prove to the NFL that he can be a decent third or fourth receiver.
