2012 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Josh Oglesby, OT, Wisconsin

Health has been the concern for Wisconsin's Josh Oglesby for his entire collegiate career. He's got the size, strength and frame to be a left tackle, but the light hasn't appeared to come on for him. Due to six surgeries done on his knees, including a torn ACL in 2010, whichever NFL team takes a chance on him will be taking a big risk. These health issues alone will push him into the late rounds, if not undrafted altogether.

Oglesby was a highly-touted high school recruit. He was poised to become the next big offensive linemen for the Badgers but as stated, injuries derailed his career. He can play tackle, but doesn't have that quick-twitch reaction, nor the ability to seal the corner due to sloppy technique. If an offensive line coach can groom him for a couple years, he'd be a suitable starter down the road; at this moment, he's nothing but a reserve that teams will have to hope is able to commit himself to mastering his craft. Oglesby has so many natural gifts, but he has not yet appeared to master the game and how to most effectively use his body, arms and hands as a blocker.
