2012 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Nigel Bradham, LB, Florida State

Bradham is one of the most experienced players in the 2012 NFL Draft class. A stellar four-year performer at Florida State, the linebacker played in all 13 games as a freshman in 2008 and made 29 tackles. He started 12 of 13 games as a sophomore and led the team with 93 tackles, then led the squad with 98 tackles as a junior while starting all 14 games. More of the same continued in 2011, with Bradham topping the Seminoles' chart with 86 tackles, at least 26 more than all other teammates. Bradham also recorded 9.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

The Crawfordville, FL native has good size at 6'3'' and 240 pounds. His biggest asset his his speed, as he generally runs in the 4.6s in the 40-yard dash and he has been clocked as fast as 4.56 from that distance. Bradham's jump off the ball is impressive and that allows him to get into the backfield on a consistent basis. He is excellent in run defense, but he sometimes struggles against the pass; his instincts need to get better in that department. Bradham is a big hitter and his potential is undeniable. In fact, it's a bit of a wonder why he wasn't even more productive than he was at Florida State. He is best-suited to play outside linebacker in a 4-3 defense. Look for him to be selected in the third or fourth round of April's draft.
