2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama

Alabama Crimson Tide offensive tackle D.J. Fluker is a hulking prospect who fits in nicely as a right tackle in a power-running offense.

Fluker is at his best when he can come off the line and drive right into his opponent. Great height and ideal size. There are concerns about his playing weight and he must stay at his current listed weight. Has had issues with staying healthy in his life, but has come a long way in this regard.

Lateral agility is lacking and can get sloppy fast when tiring. Plays with a good motor though and looks to dominate. Technique is sporadic at times. Relies too much on size and strength rather than staying fundamentally sound. Lunges with his upper body will throw him off-balance. All this said, when he takes on a blocker and gets good hand placement, it is over and can dominate smaller defensive ends with ease. Does not move well in space and would have trouble in a zone-heavy blocking scheme.

Fluker projects as a first round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Prediction: 1st Round

I think he can play right tackle or either guard position. Could end up in Cincinnati since they and Andre Smith can't seem to get on the same page as far as a contract goes.
