Bennie Logan, DT, LSU

LSU Tigers defensive tackle Bennie Logan anchored a great defensive line in each of his past two seasons. The 6'3", 295 pounder is legit run-stopper who can make plays in the backfield.

Not a true nose tackle, Logan lacks the size and dominating size to handle regular double teams. He gets off the line with a great explosion and keeps his shoulders low when engaging blockers. Tough to handle when one-on-one. Still has room on his frame to add more weight if necessary. Very athletic for a defensive tackle and should be able to run a sub-5.0 40 yard dash.

Great bend and has a very high ceiling as a pass rusher. Very raw in this regard. Relies too much on a bull rush for a player with his lateral agility and short-area quickness. Stays on his assignment well and plays with a focused discipline. Never too high or too low in his energy. Uses his hands well to battle for position. Plays with a good motor, although LSU used a heavy rotation with the defensive linemen due to depth.

Logan projects as a third to fourth round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
