2015 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor

For starters, Petty has some physical tools that make him an attractive prospect. He's tall enough, he has good, if not great, arm strength, and he's not completely immobile. Perhaps most importantly though, he's got the intangibles people love to see at the quarterback position. And those intangibles, the work ethic and football intelligence, will be important for Petty because he's going to have to learn to go through a progression. The offense at Baylor includes a lot of quick throws and single reads, so he'll need some time to develop the ability to make multiple reads. For that reason he's certainly not a target for someone in need of immediate help at the position. But for a team in the market to develop a quarterback, Petty makes sense as a project. After a good combine performance, some have Petty going in the second round.
