2014 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Allen Robinson, WR , Penn State

Robinson was Penn State's biggest playmaker over the last two years. A big receiver with surprising athleticism, he could hear his name called on the first day of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Ideal height and length. Very fluid route-runner with good body control. Shields defenders away to secure the catch. Looks for more yardage after catch. Good balance and above-average short-area quickness with the ball in his hands. Presents the quarterback with a big target. Works his way back to the football in soft spots in zone. Average vertical speed. Finds more separation from crisp routes and puts good corners/bends throughout the tree. Needs to sell some routes better and will telegraph his movements on occasion.

Excellent wingspan and catching radius. Really aggressive when going up for the ball. No problems with contact and can work the middle of the field. Can regularly make the catch in tight windows. Average hands. Allows the ball into his body way too often. Could lose some forward momentum at the combine due to average straight-line speed.

Robinson projects as a second round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Overdrafted at the moment. Currently a Top 6 or 7 pick in dynasty rookie drafts. A better fit in the early second. Only 20 years old though, so still has a ton of potential.

Prediction: 2nd Round

Most likely the 2nd. I think this guy will be around as a terrific NFL receiver for the next 10+ years. 1100 yards and about 7 or 8 TDs annually. Would take that on my Raiders.
