3/29 2014 Mock Draft 3
2/17 Pre Combine Mock Draft
1 - HOU: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
To me Bridgewater and Manziel are neck and neck but I think Bridgewater gets the edge because he is more conventional
2 - CLE: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
TRADE !!!! The browns are reportedly smitten with Manziel but this could be a smoke screen but for now ill take it at face value seeing how consistent Manziel was and as he improved as a passer too
3 - JAX: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida
The Jags are desperate for a franchise QB and Bortles has a lot of potential I also believe they will target Dee ford at the top of the 2nd
4 - STL: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
The rams are in great position at this pick with quite a bit of talent already grab someone who can fill in for Jake Long as he recovers from his recent ACL
5 - OAK: Jadeveon Clowney, DE , South Carolina
Oakland missed out on the best of the QB crop so I believe they will opt to grab potentially the best player in the draft
6 - ATL: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
Atlantas line is an abomination and robinson will be a powerful run blocker and a solid pass blocker too
7 - TB: Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA
Lovie smith is a defensive minded coach and they have some nice pieces already but one thing they are missing is an elite edge defender that can also rush the passer
8 - MIN: Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State
Mike Zimmer is a defensive coach but even he has to realize the pitiful state of the their QBs Carr certainly has the ability and even has weapons immediately
9 - BUF: Khalil Mack, LB , Buffalo
The Bills defense made some incredible strides but they are missing someone to help across from Mario Williams with the edge defending hybird linebackers very much in vogue Mack has all the talent to do so
10 - DET: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
i doubt sammy watkins will fall this far but for our purposes lets say he does takes some pressure off of megatron and a dangerous offense gets another weapon
11 - TEN: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
Their tackles are getting up there in years and they are pretty talented elsewhere but they need a QB but I don't see one worth taking here
13 - STL: Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama
The rams have some serious issues at safety and clinton-dix might be the best in the draft
14 - CHI: Louis Nix, DT, Notre Dame
The bears run defense is a disgrace and Nix is a perfect 1 tech to pair with henry melton
15 - PIT: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
The steelers need another weapon to pair with antonio brown and evans is a big bodied reciever and that will help him win early in the NFL
16 - BAL: Marqise Lee, WR , USC
if you watched the ravens at all the lack of a reliable reciever was extremely apparent and Lee is polished talented and run crisp routes
17 - DAL: Ra'Shede Hageman, DL , Minnesota
Dallas needs help on the defensive line and jason hatcher who was great is a free agent so a possible running mate or replacement is needed
18 - NYJ: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
The jets lack weapons on offense in general but an explosive tight end will be a welcomed addition
19 - MIA: Antonio Richardson, OL , Tennessee
Miami will have a hard time figuring out what they have in ryan tannehill when he is on his back constantly
20 - ARI: Cyrus Kouandjio, OL , Alabama
The cardinals still have issues along the offensive line and Carson isn't as mobile as he used to be(if that is at all possible)
21 - GB: John Prior, OL , Ohio
**** CALVIN PRYOR FS Louisville*** The green bay defense has been an issue since they lost to the giants 3 years ago especially the safety position and i was very impressed with Pryor in some of the games I watched
22 - PHI: Nicardo East, CB , West Virginia
****KONY EALY DE Mizzou**** The eagles need more pressure on the QB, Ealy is a very talented player who can rush the passer across from conner barwin
23 - KC: Stephon Tuitt, DL , Notre Dame
The chiefs didn't get too much production from their 5 technique spot and tuitt is a perfect fit for that spot
24 - CIN: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
Cincy's corners are getting old and Leon hall is coming off 2 achilles so it would be best if Marvin Lewis and Co add some youth
25 - SD: Kyle Van Noy, OLB, BYU
The chargers don't really have one guy who can really get after the passer I think Van Noy can add a big play ability to the chargers defense hasn't had
26 - CLE: Bishop Sankey, RB , Washington
THe browns have no one at running back and need a workhorse and sankey can certainly bring that dimension to their offense
27 - NO: Ryan Shazier, LB , Ohio State
The saints don't have another linebacker to pair with curtis lofton and shazier has been very consistent throughout his career
28 - CAR: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State
Steve Smith can only keep denying the odds for so long before he slows down and just so happens that their other 2 options are free agents Benjamin prove to be a consistent mismatch all year with his size
29 - SF: Darqueze Dennard, CB , Michigan State
San Francisco is not missing too much but they do not have a big shut down corner like Seattle and purifoy has that kind of ability it also happens that terrell brown is a free agent and carlos rogers could be released
30 - NE: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE , Washington
the pats are lacking weapons especially at tight end and are sorely missing Aaron Hernandez and Rob gronkowski who seems to never be healthy anymore
31 - DEN: Loucheiz Purifoy, DB , Florida
The broncos could be in a potentially terrible mess at corner by the time this draft rolls around Champ Bailey is probably going to retire DRC is a freew agent chris harris coming off an ACL and Quienten Jammer isn't good anymore so they need to add youth and talent
32 - SEA: Aaron Donald, DL , Pittsburgh
Seattle always goes with someone off the radar it seems this is kind of a reach rather because of donald's lack of size for the position but he is a dominate force and should add an interior pass rush

Above Average -- I like a lot of the picks. I don't think an RB goes in Rd 1. Some players lower/higher than I think, but a difference in opinions on players doesn't mean the mock is bad. Good job.
