Author's Comments

There will be plenty of offensive talent skill position talent selected in the 3rd round

1 - HOU: Cyrus Kouandjio, OL , Alabama
They got their QB in the first, now they address OT with their first 2nd rounder
2 - WAS: Jason Verrett, CB , TCU
The Redskins got torched a lot last season and have taken steps to address the problem, but I don't think anyone would say they've fixed the problem yet
3 - CLE: Marqise Lee, WR , USC
Lee slips out of the first round and the Browns jump all over him
4 - SEA: Tim Jernigan, DT, Florida State
*TRADE* Picked up from the Raiders in the Carr trade, the Seahawks select jernigan. They had interest in DTs during free agency which leads me to believe they see it as a weakness
5 - HOU: Demarcus Lawrence, DE , Boise State
*TRADE* OLB needs to be addressed
6 - TB: Joel Bitonio, OL , Nevada
Bitonio could play anywhere on the line but they'll use him at OG
7 - JAX: Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois
They are said to like Garoppolo and they haven't addressed QB yet
8 - STL: Allen Robinson, WR , Penn State
*TRADE* Picked up from the Vikings in the Mack trade, the Rams add a WR with some size.
9 - BUF: Ja'Wuan James, OL , Tennessee
They added a weapon for the offense in the first. Now they add some protection
10 - TEN: Carlos Hyde, RB , Ohio State
Whisenhunt likes power backs, so I think he'll like Hyde, but they also have Shonn Green so he might pick Tre Mason as a compliment to Green
11 - NYG: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE , Washington
There is a need at TE, ASJ is a good combination of blocker and receiver
12 - STL: Lamarcus Joyner, CB, Florida State
They are unproven at CB so Joyner could become a starter or just work the nickel
13 - OAK: Cody Latimer, WR , Indiana
*TRADE* Picked up from the Lions in the Evans trade, the Raiders take the hot prospect in Latimer. He's a size/speed player and you know the Raiders love that
14 - PIT: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State
They're looking for a WR with size and Benjamin fits the bill as well as anybody
15 - DAL: Stephon Tuitt, DL , Notre Dame
Another versatile DL to sure up their weakest roster spot
16 - BAL: Terrence Brooks, DB , Florida State
They drafted Elam last year and have mad him their SS, now they take Brooks to play FS
17 - NYJ: Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State
After adding a CB earlier, they move to their shallow WR pool
18 - MIA: Antonio Richardson, OL , Tennessee
I think they'd be smart to keep addressing the OL, even if that means reaching a bit
19 - CHI: Dominique Easley, DT, Florida
Easley has a lot of talent but injury concerns. The Bears have their starting DTs already and can work Easley in slowly
20 - ARI: Tom Savage, QB , Pittsburgh
The Cards are said to be looking to draft Carson Palmer's eventual replacement early
21 - GB: Jace Amaro, TE , Texas Tech
To replace Finley, he even has a pretty similar skill set
22 - PHI: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech
They are lacking in the pass rush department
23 - SF: Phillip Gaines, CB , Rice
They need some help at CB
24 - CIN: Scott Crichton, DE, Oregon State
To add to the DE rotation after Michael Johnson left
25 - SD: Bashaud Breeland, CB, Clemson
They had some of the worst CBs in the league last year
26 - IND: David Yankey, G , Stanford
Andrew Luck needs protection and the ground game needs holes to run through. Yankey has that Stanford connection
27 - NO: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB , Nebraska
Can learn behind Champ Bailey
28 - CAR: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt
Along with the OL, they have to rebuild receiving corps
29 - NE: Troy Niklas, TE , Notre Dame
They obviously lost Hernandez and Gronk can't stay healthy
30 - SF: Kyle Van Noy, OLB, BYU
Aldon Smith will be gone pretty soon
31 - DEN: Marcus Roberson, DB , Florida
Depth and competition at CB
32 - SEA: Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State
Reinforcements for that OL

Average -- Trent Murphy's got a lot of detractors at this point. I see OLB as the most likely Vikings target round 2, with Van Noy and Shazier being at the top of the list.

-- Honestly, I think he could be a 2nd round pick. Maybe put him ahead of Moncreif. If not 2nd, then early 3rd

Above Average -- if Landry is there in the 2nd rd i dont think saints will be able to pass on him unless the wrs arent being taken and they can steal one late in the third
