Author's Comments

honorable mentions: Aaron Donald, Dee Ford, David Yankey, Rasheed Hageman

Colts: Bradley Roby or Jordan Matthews whoever falls to them. Roby would be first choice.

Redskins: Cyril Richardson or Xavier Su'a-Filo should be best picks for redskins second round

1 - HOU: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida
I am not convinced he is ready to lead a franchise to the promised land but he is the most prototypical passer for their offense
2 - STL: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
After exhausitng every attempt to trade down they select the sure thing and solidify a young receiving core. Teams are just to scared to give up to much after the RG3 trade. Especially with such a deep draft.
3 - JAX: Jadeveon Clowney, DE , South Carolina
They need a qb but feel comfortable waiting. Take the player with the highest upside in a decade.
4 - CLE: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
Just falls into their lap
5 - NYG: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
First trade. If you watched the giants o line last year you know why they do this. Robinson is a monster that could help a ton. Oakland has plenty of sports to fill and moves back picking up a few draft picks in middle rounds.
6 - ATL: Khalil Mack, LB , Buffalo
Atlanta can't land clowney but they take the next best thing. Mack will do wonders rushing off the edge for the falcons
7 - TB: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
There are many ways this pick could go. They could add barr as a edge rusher and matthews as a tackle. But with bridgewater on the board and team showing uncertainty about glennon. They may not be able to help themselves.
8 - PIT: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
Pittsburg has missed on to many o line prosepcts. They are an aging team that trades up to get the surest thing in teh draft. Matthews will be a perennial pro bowler for years to come
9 - BUF: Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA
Solidifies a scary linebacking core
10 - DET: Darqueze Dennard, CB , Michigan State
I would much rather put a wr here as detroit has wasted so many picks on corner in the past but Mike evans isn't the type of reciever they need to compliment megatron and anyone else is a reach. In Dennard however they finally find their answer at cb
11 - NYJ: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
Titans don't want to reach and new york glady takes the change to grab the athletic freak Mike Evans who ran a 4.5 at the combine, and ungodly time for a man his size
12 - OAK: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
Oakland is pleased to see Taylor Lewan still on the board. And while they would like to land a wr or edge rusher. THey can't pass on easily the best player available.
13 - STL: Zack Martin, OT, Notre Dame
They will take a long hard look at clinton dix here but after failing to secure a lineman with the first pick the rams grab a solid consolation prize.
14 - CHI: Tim Jernigan, DT, Florida State
The bears look at Clinton Dix for sure as well but ultimately jernigan makes to much sense for them here
15 - MIN: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
It is a two man race here between gilbert and mosley. Ultimaetly Mosley wins out as vikings see depth at the cb position in the draft.
16 - BAL: Marqise Lee, WR , USC
Baltimore finds their compliment to torrey smith in the underrated marquise lee. Lee could be the number 1 receiver in many other years drafts.
17 - DAL: Kony Ealy, DL , Missouri
Dallas runs to the podium to draft this perfect fit. It is exactly what dallas needs and will be great fit for ealy.
18 - TEN: Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama
Clinton Dix makes sense for the titans but may have been a reach at 11. Fortunately he falls here to 18.
19 - MIA: Cyrus Kouandjio, OL , Alabama
Miami needs to retool the entire offensive line. The big man from Alabama is a good start
20 - ARI: Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville
This may not be fans first choice but he is to good to pass on here when it is a position that could use a tall ball hawk to feast on a tough division.
21 - GB: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
Pryor is snatched away from green bay, and while fans will beg to improve that defense, the next big thing at TE is on the board. Imagine adding Ebron to packers offense. Scary
22 - PHI: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
The eagles pass defense was horrible. While adding an edge rusher like Ford makes sense and adding a big receiver like benjamin may be a fan favorite, Giblert is to good for the eagles front office to pass on
23 - KC: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State
The chiefs take an intriguing prospect at wr to help their pass game down field and in the red zone. the big bodied benjamin will do wonders for alex smith
24 - CIN: Ryan Shazier, LB , Ohio State
Shazier is a wildcard in some ways due to his size but he is so athletic and fits great in this defense which creates an ideal situation for both sides.
25 - SD: Jason Verrett, CB , TCU
San Diego had a clear weakness defending the pass. The add a great corner in verrett. Forget his size, he will be a solid player in the nfl.
26 - CLE: Odell Beckham, WR , LSU
Browns got their qb and now work on surrounding him with weapons
27 - NO: Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia
THe saints take the last of the big name tackles normally discussed in first round. He is a late riser with a ton of talent.
28 - CAR: Brandin Cooks, WR , Oregon State
Cooks has drawn comparisons to Steve Smith and ends up becoming his successor in Carolina. He showed blazing fast speed at the combine.
29 - NE: Louis Nix, DT, Notre Dame
The patriots get their man with as steal late in the first. Nix will help plug up those running lanes and is a perfect fit for the patriots
30 - SF: Allen Robinson, WR , Penn State
San Fran doesn't feel the need to reach on a cb so they take a big receiver in Allen Robinson to solidify wr group
31 - MIN: Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State
Broncos see no reason to reach on cb or tackle so they trade out of the first and pick up roberson from florida or fuller from v tech. The vikings once again trade into the back end of the 1st which is becoming a habit for them. They grab their qb before any needs teams in the second can get to him.
32 - SEA: Jace Amaro, TE , Texas Tech
This is honestly the toughest pick in the whole first round to me. Aaron Donald is the perfect fit for seattle. And dee ford is a good talent also if they lose a player in free agnecy. But ultimately I think they will make themselves go offense and pass on Donald. Amaro is the big body tight end Wilson needs.
