Author's Comments

That was sarcasm.Bradford gets hurt every year, even though they are publicly behind Bradford he isn't reliable and the Rams are in a position where if one of the top 3 Qb's fell they can afford to take a QB.Appreciate the comments

1 - HOU: Jadeveon Clowney, DE , South Carolina
Houston is under a lot of pressure to draft a QB. Hopefully they will take the Charley Casserly approach and stick with the drafts highest rated player. We all know Clowney is a rare talent with work ethic questions. In my opinion gambling on Clowney is much safer than selecting one of these quarterbacks number 1 overall.
2 - STL: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
Matthews has it all technique, size, experience and bloodlines which makes him the "safe" pick in this years draft. His polish gives him a slight edge here. Everybody knows the Rams are looking to trade down so they could end up still getting Matthews a few spots lower. Greg Robinson and Sammy Watkins are possibilities too
3 - JAX: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida
The Jags are yet another franchise that needs a QB. Bortles helped himself more than the other top QBs at the combine just by throwing and interviewing well. Bortles has the prototypical size and a NFL arm. However Bortles is a one year wonder that may not be NFL ready. I would not be surprised if David Caldwell and Gus Bradley are looking at Khalil Mack or hoping Clowney falls to them. Pass rush is a big need too.Can you really send Henne or Gabbert out there week 1?
4 - CLE: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
With 2 first round picks the Browns may not be in a rush to draft a QB here like everyone thinks. Once again I think Khalil Mack is a possibility too. Gordon, Watkins and Cameron suddenly makes this offense a matchup nightmare. All they would need now is QB..........
5 - OAK: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
I miss Al Davis. It would make my mock draft so much easier. I could just pencil in Dri Archer and move on. The Raiders have a ton of needs so GM Reggie McKenzie could select a QB, Mack or Watkins if he fell.I like Robinson here because of the value of a LT along with Veldheer needing a contract
7 - TB: Aaron Donald, DL , Pittsburgh
Bucs need help on both sides and a tackle would be ideal, but I expect the Bucs to address DL/pass rush at some point. Would be slight reach here. Donald could be a monster in Lovie Smiths' scheme.
13 - STL: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
One of the top 3QBs is destined to fall. This would be a good spot for him. Could sit and learn until week one when Bradford gets hurt.

Average -- With the exception of the Donald and Bridgewater picks, pretty good!

Below Average -- This is not very good at all.... your logic with the Bridewater pick doesn't make any sense and some of these guys are just in the wrong places. Half your picks don't even address needs.

Average -- Pretty good except for Donald, Bridgewater, and Lewan. Donald is a little high, Bridgewater is the most pro ready QB in this draft, and Lewan had a monster combine performance.
