1 - HOU: Jadeveon Clowney, DE , South Carolina
Truth is, I personally think clowney will be the biggest bust of this decade but the idea of him and jj watt has to be very tempting. especially considering the texans dont need a top tier qb because their team is not as bad a they preformed last year. they can wait until 2.
2 - STL: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
Its opinion as to who is the best OT is between robinsin and matthews, they can both go here. the rams will never know what they have in bradford if they cant keep him up.
3 - JAX: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
The jaguars offense is not good. Therefore, they need a guy who can do more than just throw. Johnny football can do it all (whether he can do it all well at the next level is the question). Ticket sales+versatile threat+a qb=an easy decision.
4 - CLE: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida
People might want watkins here, but they need someone to throw the ball. The formula to success in the afc north seems to be a big strong qb, that is bortles.
5 - OAK: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
The raiders think they can win with matt schaub. they wont win if he has to throw to rod streater. Watkins is the clear pick, and a great one.
6 - ATL: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
Do they need defense? god yes. but ryan wont be able to deliver the ball to those incredible wr's if hes on his butt. plus its rare to have an opportunity to get a tackle of this caliber. Can be a staple on the line for the next decade.
7 - TB: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
The bucs are in a weird spot with qb. I thought glennon won the job last year. for a rookie with an inconsistent running game, he took charge and had a nice season. then mccown comes in after have a few good games and is handed the job. its odd. regardless, whoever plays qb is going to need another wide receiver. evans is a great option here. two huge guys that can stretch the field.
8 - MIN: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
hes fallen off a lot, but hes a smart kid and he plays well. being able to rely on AP will help a lot. Should work out nicely
9 - BUF: Khalil Mack, LB , Buffalo
Mack is easily the BPA, plus he fills a need. I could not imagine any complaints here
10 - DET: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
The lions signed golden tate to a big contract, dont fool yourself, they arent looking to go reciever at all in round one. They need secondary, they always need secondary. Gilbert proved he was a shutdown corner with all of the measurables.
11 - TEN: Darqueze Dennard, CB , Michigan State
i thought this was pretty easy. they lost verner and didnt address it. dennard is a great pick
12 - NYG: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
The giants havent had any sort of threat at tight end since jeremy shockey...........
13 - STL: Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama
Rams need secondary, they get the best safety available
14 - CHI: Aaron Donald, DL , Pittsburgh
For the first time in a long time the bears Oline preformed to par, now to sure up that Dline.perfect spot for donald to go and a place where he can make an immediate difference
15 - PIT: Bradley Roby, CB , Ohio State
The steelers need a lot. Where they arent lacking, they are aging. They need as much young defense as they can get
16 - DAL: Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA
Someone needs to replace ware, maybe barr can do that?
17 - BAL: Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville
Im high on calvin pryor. plus the seahawks showed the potential of two great safeties, matt elam and calving pryor is a dangerous duo for years to come
18 - NYJ: Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
easy justification: who do you trust more, jeremy kerley, eric decker and jacoby ford at reciever or dee milliner, patterson, and kyle wilson at corner? plus I have never seen a player fit as well into rex's man scheme as fuller does. The draft is deep in wr so they can address it in round two
19 - MIA: Zack Martin, OT, Notre Dame
its rare to see a player mocked in one spot so consistently. It just makes to much sense for everyone
20 - ARI: Jace Amaro, TE , Texas Tech
they can draft the qb of the future here, but they are in a great spot to get a guy to groom later on while upgrading their already win-now mode team. amaro will bring that offense over the top
21 - GB: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
the packers somehow always need defense
22 - PHI: Marqise Lee, WR , USC
they need to replace desean jackson
23 - KC: Odell Beckham, WR , LSU
the chiefs need a guard, but they are very depleted at reciever
24 - CIN: Kony Ealy, DL , Missouri
geno atkins injury and mike johnson leaves a huge hole
25 - SD: Dee Ford, DE , Auburn
The chargers desperately need corners but there are none left worth taking in round one so they take an elite edge rusher
26 - CLE: David Yankey, G , Stanford
they get their qb, they have a qb, a te, a wr, and now they sure up their line. dare i say things are lookoing up in cleveland?
27 - NO: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State
the fact the saints passing attack has been so elite having only taken one wr (robert meachem) in the first round in a decade is great. but they need to do something now. Graham and benjamin? drew brees doesnt even need to be accurate
28 - CAR: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
Lewan fall this far? its possible. The panthers should spend their entire draft on recievers, but there are none left worth a first, so they make a smart pick. If cam is going to be doing extra work they might as well keep him safe
29 - NE: Ra'Shede Hageman, DL , Minnesota
According to league sources, the pats do plan on generating a pass rush this year, hageman will help a lot
30 - SF: Louis Nix, DT, Notre Dame
A good fit, sures up the dline.
31 - DEN: Ryan Shazier, LB , Ohio State
And their defense gets better
32 - SEA: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE , Washington
They have a deep threat in harvin, a reliable guy in rice, and baldwin. add a big bodied tight end and some how the seahawks get better
